In Memory

Steven McNeil

Steven McNeil

We found out through a classmate who was told by Steve's older brother that Steve had passed away last February.  We can not find any obituary for him.

Steve was a fun guy. He was always smiling, telling a funny story or making weekend plans. We had lots of great times together at NHS. 💔

I knew Steve and his fam pre-Broadmeadow School days. He was always the prankster on Rybury Hillway. He lived a full life always serving others. Literally. RIP Steve.

Along with Jeff and our other neighborhood buddy Doug MacFarland, I have distant childhood memories of riding bikes with Steve in the Rybury/Highgate area way back in the day before there were even any houses built on Tudor Rd.

Such a shock to hear of Steven's passing. Have known him since Broadmeadow School days. Had been in contact with him as recently as 2022 about his adorable dog Max!!  RIP Steve

Best buds with him at Pollard. Loved our fishing expeditions.

A 2nd thought: Seeing yet another class mate announcement like Steve's brings me back to our awesome 50th reunion now 2 years in the rear view. And the incredible emotional extremes of on the one hand the fantastic satisfaction of seeing some classmates that I hadn't seen since graduation (old homeroom mates like Lynn Reeder), while on the other, the disbelief of seeing the memorial poster hung on the party room wall naming our 64 classmates no longer with us. Everyday buds like Bobby Raymond, Carl Chandler, Steve LaCroix, Mark Olsen, Billy Cotton and many many others. I'm OK with getting old; the fallen classmates thing though is really tough to get over. Steve: rest in peace brother!

It makes me so sad to hear of Steve's passing. I had hoped he would attend our recent reunions.

Steve signed all my report cards, dismissal notes and warnings beginning in 9th gradeand through high school. It wasn't caught until my Dad actually signed something and that was tagged as a forgery. Steve was part of a group of us girls who hung out at Bergsons after school. He was such a funny guy.

RIP, Steve.
