Mark Malconian

 

Mark K. Malconian, D.O., 48, of Colonial Way, died after a lengthy illness on Nov. 25, 2002, at his home.  He graduated from Needham High School, and continued his education at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and the University of Health Sciences at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, Mo.

He had an internal medicine internship and anesthesiology residency with fellowship in cardio-thorasic anesthesia at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Malconian was a major in the U.S. Army and served on active duty for six years. During his military career he was a flight surgeon in the 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (MacPherson) Malconian of Exeter; one son, Daniel Richard Malconian, also of Exeter; one sister, Jayne Sweetser of Wellesley, Mass.; one brother, Richard Malconian of Me.; five nieces and nephews; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Nancy MacPherson of Needham, Mass.; one brother-in-law, Earl and Nancy MacPherson of Needham, Mass.; one brother-in-law, Craig MacPherson of Exeter, N.H., and one sister-in-law, Joan MacPherson of Marlborough, N.H.
