Obituary

Mark R Hession, of Brighton formerly of Needham, died suddenly June 6, 2021. 

Mark was born in Natick and was a graduate of Needham High School. He attended the Franklin Institute of Technology, and had worked as a graphic artist for Apahouser Inc. for many years. As a child, Mark became one the first pediatric heart valve replacement recipients after surgery Children’s Hospital in Boston.  He was an avid fan of all of the Boston sports teams, and was an avid international soccer fan. 

Mark was the son of the late Robert P and Ann D (Rachilla) Hession, and is survived by his brother Brian R. Hession of Brighton, and his step sister and brothers Diana Bassett Niles of Fl, Ken Bassett of Needham and Bobby Bassett of Attleboro as well as many nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held on Sat June 12 from 9 until 9:45 AM in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mark’s name to the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Dr, Suite 602, Boston MA 02115, would be greatly appreciated.
