Jeff Kosmenko, Class of 1972
I am deeply saddened to share the passing of our classmate, Jeff Kosmenko, on August 5th in Lewiston, Maine. His son Bryan was by his side.
Many of you may recall Jeff's love for golf and hockey during our high school years. Over the years, Jeff and I remained close friends, sharing countless laughs over the phone. He was a beloved figure in Presque Isle, Maine, where he had many friends and was widely respected.
Jeff wanted folks to know, that despite the challenges he faced, he triumphed over his struggles with drugs and alcohol, maintaining over 30 years of sobriety. Jeff was looking forward to attending our upcoming reunion in October, which would have been his first. He was also planning to speak at the church where I serve in Dighton, Massachusetts. He and I were both looking forward to the message he was going to deliver on gratitude. Truly, gratitude was a theme Jeff embodied. Each morning, he diligently wrote down all he was grateful for, even in the midst of life's trials.
I am sharing this with you to ensure that Jeff is remembered and honored by our class.
Thank you,
Dave Stewart

This is very sad news, and I am truly sorry to hear this.
To Jeffrey's family I can't tell you how sorry Iam. Jeff and I have been friends since we were about 8 years old, and had lots of fun playing Hockey, Golf and working together at The Needham Golf Club. Lost contact with Jeff for a while, but caught up again last year, and had contact about twice a month since. We were looking forward to October, to cafch up.
I will never forget the fun times we had R.I.P. my friend.
